Tube Repros - just a couple left
« on: March 03, 2010, 05:14:53 PM »
We at Bottlehead have decided to create a new line of finished high end tube audio gear under a new name. The Tube Repro design will be slightly revised in its circuit and pretty majorly revised cosmetically to fit into this new product line. In checking our stock of parts it looks like we have just a couple of sets of Tube Repro cabinet panels left. Those nicely machined cabinet panels cost us a ton to have made, and I'm not inclined to make a bunch more since we have this new, similar product coming out in the next few months.

So if you want a Tube Repro, call us quick. If you want to hold out for the new version be forewarned that there is no ETA yet, and it will cost considerably more because of audiophile approved styling. It will have a very similar circuit inside, with a few small improvements in the form of universal power transformers and possibly a different tube at the balanced output. We also plan to offer an outboard metering unit with some additional features like signal polarity reversal, mono summing - and if I can figure out a cost effective approach - perhaps an XY display for azimuth adjustment.

The new line sounds like a logical next step. Once products cross a certain cost threshold, the cosmetic expectations are pretty high now days.
I'm really looking forward to seeing your new line.
