Led Zeppelin anyone?
« on: April 14, 2010, 04:41:38 AM »
Hello all,
I posted some suggestions for series 3 previously.  Among these was Led Zeppelin's first album.  This would be a killer and would be the way to go for a rock selection.  All due respect to The Band's Stage Freight, Led Zeppelin would do more justice on tape.  Anyone else with me?

While it might be a winner, I think unfortunately the cost of procuring such a recording given the limited distribution, would be prohibitive. Remember what Classic Records had to go through to release LZ on LP. It required artist approval, etc and took forever to deliver because of that :(

I bet Jimmy Page would go for it.  Asking would never hurt.

How about Jimmy Page's favorite band:  Little Feat!
If I could only have one album of theirs I would pick "Feats Don't Fail Me Now"
