I'm interested in making modifications to the playback performance of my C270 and wondered if anybody else here has attempted to do the same either solid state or with Valves/Tubes.

Hi John
I changed all coupling caps in repro amp to very big in size Solen because of same capacity , switch and resistors for CCIR. pictures for reference

A couple of years have passed since I posted this question, anybody attempted any playback amp improvements yet or at least considered it !
