HiFi Hawaii Grand Opening August 19
« on: July 27, 2010, 03:09:16 PM »
Our dealer in Honolulu, HiFi Hawaii, has been working diligently on building a new larger store. The owner, Shane Drew, has set August 19 as the day he plans to cut the ribbon. I'm going to be there, talking about the Tape Project and spinning a few reels. There will also be factory guys from Wilson, B&W, MacIntosh, Linn and Avielo.

If you're in town, please come on by and say hello. 5PM to 10PM. (Actually Shane would prefer that you RSVP.)

Mike Spitz and I have been keeping in pretty constant communication about your machine. We ended up with a Tube Repro that is one of the most quiet we have made yet (mostly that was a matter of going through a lot of tubes to find a super quiet set). And you are getting the set of Peerless 19095 balanced output transformers from my personal Repro. It ought to be a really sweet setup.

Welcome to the forum Bob.
Sounds like you're getting a fantastic set up and if you haven't heard these tapes in your set up, you're in for a shock!

My condolences to Paul for having to fly down to paradise. It's a tough row ta hoe but I think you can handle it.

BTW Romo and Paul, what's menu for 1340 Mission for the upcoming AES?
