technics 10a02 speed running wild
« on: May 15, 2011, 02:51:53 PM »
the short of  the problem is the capstan motor was rebuilt after it became noisy put back in and ran  wild at 30+ ips at all speed settings, a second motor was tried same result. concurrent with the original noisy motor i had  the strobe verification wasn't not working but speed seemed correct at all settings. off to the shop it went, now my tech tells me on the speed control board with power off the circuit tests correctly but with power some transistors and diodes show crazy results.the tech says the problem now is finding the correct diodes for the board and the values are not shown in his manual.my question is does anybody have a manual the has the values of the diodes on the speed control board and could send me a copy ? are other solutions possable if so i am open to suggestions?thanks Robert butler
