I've been browsing through the "Audio Record" pdf that I linked to as a reference of early tape machines in an earlier post.
The "Audio Record" was a new letter from Audio Devices who
still produces lacquer disks for cutting records and used to make AudioTape.
If you read my previous post you may have downloaded the
huge pdf of the "Audio Record" from 1945 to 1952 (336 pages in all!).
Tom Fine has pointed out an excellent article on Fine Recording which should be of interest to both fans of Mercury Records and old tape machines alike.
The article can be found on page 317 of the pdf as the featured story in the Nov-Dec 1952, Vol 8, number 8.
