I will see you there.

Bob Hodas will also be rolling tape in the Focal/VTL room as he did last year.

And I'll be on a talking heads panel Saturday afternoon, either 1PM or 2PM, I'm not sure which.

Excellent Paul!

Any of you Bay Area members who missed Bob's room last year (Larry, TomR,..), it's worth the price of admission just to hear how good a cramped hotel room can sound. Bob really transformed the room he was in last year. The sound of those 1/2" TP tapes on the MTR-20/Bottlehead Repro/VTL amps and Focal speakers was absolutely stunning!
It really makes you realize what a huge difference having a room treated by someone who really knows what he's doing can make. After listening to Bob's room, all the others sounded flat and lifeless!

Went on Saturday and had an excellent time!
I attended the seminar in which Paul was a panelist and found it pretty interesting. It was really great to hear Paul and the folks from Reference Recordings give a little history of their association over the years.

It was no surprise that Bob Hodas's room was in a different league from the others soundwise. Just like last year, listening to a room which was treated by someone who really knows what they're doing makes all the difference in the world.
Piper had her mastering rig (speakers/amps) set up instead of the smaller stand mounted/dual sub Focals that was in Bob's room last year. The sound from her rig was killer-diller!

As always, it was great to see folks I know and to make some new friends.
