History of Recording (web site)
« on: November 14, 2012, 09:21:12 PM »
I came across this site a while back, and at that time, it was still kind of bare bones. A posting on the Ampex list today reminded me to go back and take a look see.
Well, it's still a little thread bare, but now there's plenty of info and eye candy to spend many a cold winter evening learning and drooling over the stuff that analog dreams are made of.
Of particular interest here are the pictures and descriptions of many of the best recorders/consoles and outboard gear from the golden age of analog recording.
Hopefully, folks like Dan Manquen will provide text to the wonderful pictures of the 3M recorders.
Needless to say, I feel that this site has tons of potential.
Enjoy!
