Price increase looming
« on: January 19, 2015, 06:33:37 PM »
Just a reminder that album pricing will be going up from $300 per album to $375 per album on February 1st. Our costs have been rising steadily over the past 7 years, but we had not made any adjustments for ever higher tape, flange or license costs. We must increase our prices to $450 per album to keep the project viable, and we will be doing so soon. To try to soften the blow we are going to do this price increase in increments. The first increase will be to $375 on February 1st, 2015.

I will also note that after just a week and a half 25% of the stock buildup we did for the new website launch is already sold. Albums are leaving here in stacks every day. Some are already out of stock and might not be back in stock until after Feb 1. So it may be prudent to consider picking up some of the in-stock titles before the end of the month.

Bump - last day of old prices is tomorrow. Albums are selling at an amazing pace, but we still have quite a few titles in stock.

The day has come and gone that we originally scheduled for announcing the second half of our "distributed" price increase. We have delayed it for as long as we can, and we will be increasing the individual album price from $375 to $450 on May 15th 2015.

We currently have a good supply of many albums so the time is ripe to pick up the titles we have in stock that you have been meaning to add to your library. We will do our best to restock those titles which are out of stock and running low before May 15th, but we cannot promise the $375 price beyond May 15th for any title.

When we announced the first half of this increase earlier in the year we were rather astounded at the number of orders we received daily. It may be prudent to order at your earliest convenience to avoid missing out on the album you desire.

Thanks to everyone who has supported this labor of love for the past eight years!

We have managed to restock a couple of our most popular titles before the price increase on May 15th. Saxophone Colossus, TP-010 and Hooker 'N' Heat, TP-025 are available in very limited numbers.
