I love Mr UPS!
« on: February 15, 2008, 07:39:59 PM »
Right in the middle of a tape binge (soldering on a Dolby unit and listening to a BC tape) I heard that truck pull up and my doorbell ring.
YaHoo! Robert Cray just landed in Silicon Valley!
God! I can't tell you how freakin' happy getting these things makes me!
Paul, Michael and yes, even Doc Bottleneck,.. be my valentine!

Uh, send the flowers to Romo and the candy to Dr. Knobs, that's OK. You're gonna like this one. It came out in 1985 just before Strong Persuader, and it has a lot of the same feel to it. We played the whole thing one night after hours at CES on the TAD system. As Romo said there was a whole lot of closed eyes and heads bobbing to the beat in that room.

Here I sit all broken hearted.
004 has shipped and I have yet
To get started.
But I am not one to
Boo Hoo Hoo.
Sooner or later I'll be
Lovin' UPS too.

So it isn't Shakespeare; it is still heartfelt!

mine arrived yesterday. another 'jewel-like' production.....thanks Guys.

i have some out-of-town audio friends arriving tonight and tomorrow morning for some intense listening. 'The Tape Project' tapes #1 thru #4 will figure prominently in our listening.

I've not yet listened to #3, the Arnold Overtures, and I'm really looking forward to Robert Cray.
