Or maybe Hendrix.

On the classic side we need something massive. What about some Mahler or Wagner.

I'd like to suggest albums a bit more progressive:
ELP: Emerson, Lake & Palmer; Tarkus; Trilogy; Brain Salad Surgery
Caravan: In The Land of Grey and Pink
Rick Wakeman: White Rock; The Six Wives of Henry VIII; Criminal Record.  I'll be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of his orchestral/choral works, although they would sound outstanding in this format.
Genesis: A Trick of The Tail; Wind and Wuthering.  No, I don't want a four-reel set of The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway.  Seriously; do you really want to spend $600 to get The Waiting Room at 15 ips?
I'll think about this more as more titles come to mind.
