OT - video recorders in 1/4" tape

While knew they recorded on larger tape, finding that they tried to use 1/4"
tape for the consumer? market made interesting reading.

Interesting stuff Ben. I sometimes wonder what technologies that they came up with for video tape production could be applied to audio tape. Drat those rotating heads though. If they'd only used conventional stationary heads, I'm sure all that r&d money would've made some significant improvements.
Those portable machines are really cool looking!
