Great tape related story
« on: April 04, 2011, 04:36:01 PM »
Here's a wonderful magnetic tape/machine restoration story. I first heard some bits and pieces of this tale several years back and totally forgot about it till some of the fellows on the Ampex list linked some great stuff about it.
Here you go!
This link explains what it's all about;

This is a great pictorial that gives you glimpse into what was involved ( McMoons is about 20min from my house!).
