Title: Otari MX-55 Manuals?
Post by: ironbut on January 18, 2011, 02:55:25 PM
Hey you Otari lovin memebers.
I'm in search for  the service manual and schematics for an MX-55.
A friend of mine has one and since Otari moved their site, the basic manual isn't there anymore. I have the parts list pdf so she doesn't need that.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hello Steve, I have an original hard copy MX-55 Operation and Maintenance Manual, 7th Ed (Nov 1991). Mine covers the MX-55T-M (NAB 2trk 2ch with center time code track - meterbridge), MX-55T (same - standard), and MX-55N-M (NAB 2trk 2ch - meterbridge) models. It has operating and maintenance instructions, PC board layouts, and circuit diagrams. If this will work for you, I can try to scan it. Send me a PM.
Phil

I might be interested in some MX-55 parts. Do you have the splicing block? NAB hubs? Rackmount brackets? What else? You can PM me with a list if you have one.

Hi Eugen,

Thanks for the offer. My friend that has the Mx-55 is in New Zealand (Christchurch). Shipping just about anything there can be pretty crazy (money wise). Considering the general scarcity of this particular model, I'll pass on the info.

Hi Steve,

He's in luck. I am his next door neighbour, I am in Sydney Australia. From here everything is possible. Get him to drop me an e-mail here. What does he needs?

Regards,

Eugen
