Title: Headfi Meet Burlingame Ca
Post by: ironbut on February 11, 2011, 03:34:56 PM
On Feb. 19th there's going to be a NorCal Headfi Meet. If your not familiar with Headfi, it's an online site for headphone crazy folks. So, the listening will be via headphones only. Most folks are shocked just how good a great pair of headphones and a balls to the wall headphone amp can sound so until you've tried it, don't discount it.
Doc will be there with his beautiful Nagra/Repro set up with several Bottlehead headphone amps and yours truly will also be demoing Tape Project tapes on my RS1500/Repro.
So, if you're wondering just how good these tapes sound or if your just looking for an interesting way to spend some time next Saturday, come by and check it out.

BTW The event is free but the organizers will appreciate donations to cover the room expenses.

I'm hoping that there might be a demo tape from series 3 spinning on the Nagra part of the time!

I think that is a strong possibility.

Good time yesterday. Good to see Doc and Ironbut and hear some great TP source material through great headphone amps and phones.

Great to see you too, Steve! Thanks for bringing in all that wacky early Koss stuff for show and tell.

Hey, it's me. I might try and see if I can talk them into letting me do a "historical exhibit" at the next one.
Less on historical headphones than on things with headphone jacks. :-)
