Xavier,

The full opera would be great. Let's see, 15 hours that's 30 tapes or the equivalent of 15 TP albums at $200 each ... only $3000! Sure would be nice, though!

Where do I find more information about the use of the spring scales? What range do I need? Best way to do measurements?

Thanks,
Gary

Doc,

I know I saw something about the pricing on these recently but can't find it. When will you begin taking orders?

Thanks,
Gary

Doc,

Since you are having custom flanges made for the Tape Project, how about offering subscribers an empty reel to use as a matching take-up reel. I think that would look really cool.

Tape Project Albums - general / Re: how about an update? (nt)

Doc,

Great timing. I just completed the alignment of the MX-5050BII-2 in IEC mode at 15 IPS today and installed it in the dreaded entertainment center. According to UPS tracking, I'll have my tape Friday. The adventure begins. Any predictions on the first tape releases?

Thanks,
Gary

Prerecorded Tapes / Re: Barclay-Crocker collecting notes

Steve,

I just snagged my first. The seller is local, so I should have it Tuesday or Wednesday. I got this one from your "must have" list: Virgil Thomson- Suite from " The River"/The Plow that Broke the Plains.

Thanks again for the catalog and the tips.

I like Steve's mix. Might move another 5% of his "acoustical ..." category to jazz or classical.

Doc,

Is that the one on eBay with a BIN of $4995?

Didn't see this response as I was on vacation when it was posted. That is good news because it is what I bought.

Hey, far too valuable to just leave lying around! Ship to me immediately and I'll store in the safety of my gun safe.

The price of r2r pre-recorded tapes has gone nuts. You are lucky. Have the Mulligan Village Vanguard and know what you mean.

Congratulations.
