Hello everybody at Tape Project Forum,
Steve Williams (from Pleasanton) just gave me a call to tell me how impressed were the participants at last audiophiles gathering by the sound of Studer A810 made recording, and to remind me to spend some time to introduce myself to Tape Project community. Many thanks to Steve, here we are:
My name is Angel Gentchev and I live in Bay Area of California, in Fremont. In my young years I got so much attracted to reel-to-reel technology at that time (early 70-ies), that, having neither enough money, nor a way to get such expensive machinery in Eastern Europe, I made several attempts to build a recorder myself as something similar to Studer A-77 at that time. It took me almost two years to learn, try and learn and try until I built such a machine almost from scratch using some parts from other Russian-made R-to-R's. Anyway, I learned a lot at that time and reel-to-reel got in my blood forever. Later, during my student years and a little after, I got employment as studio mixing engineer in national television & radio station in Sofia, Bulgaria I was born and grew up. There I learned how to record, mix, down-mix and process the sound to get maximum quality and warm of the recording. Being music lover and playing guitars also helped me a lot in this never ending endeavor.
My small business,
www.ReelPROAudio.com I opened three years go as a side and pretty much hobby alike job. However, from the end of last year it is actively operating, selling and servicing again using EBay site, more often than before, because of recent massive layoffs and global economy slowdown. I lost my 9am to 9pm job as R&D manager and now I just have more time to provide services than before. Usually there is a list of new listings there, please check it out using this link:
http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/reelproaudio_W0QQ_nkwZQQ_armrsZ1QQ_fromZQQ_mdoZ This is a small studio & service office specialized in Analog and R-to-R. Well, I just love tuning and fixing analog equipment helping people like you to reliably maintain this equipment. As you know that is equipment mostly from 20th century.
Please contact me to use this getting really rare opportunity to find and get to your location analog recording audio equipment in fully serviced shape. Equipment guaranteed to leave my office in fully working order - something you won't get buying from non-specialized in analog recording EBay sellers, with very few exception - sellers from Canada and USA you already know if you are familiar with R-to-R.

Very pleased to join to Tape Project community,
