Title: ball vs. roller
Post by: docb on December 06, 2011, 04:52:12 PM
I have been hearing a lot of folks talk about roller bearings these days, when they really mean ball bearings. To clarify, ball bearings are generally the type that are used in tape machines. Ball bearings have lower friction than roller bearings, and low friction is what we are trying to achieve by using them in the tape path.

Now saying 'my machine has balls' will be mean you have a TP tape path mod. SWEET!
