Title: Studer B62 Oscillator board repair
Post by: funderstrikes on June 16, 2009, 11:41:24 PM
hi there,

I'm embarking on a tedious diagnosis of what components have failed - 3 cards. 1 dead, 1 records in one channel and the other works for about 30 mins then incompletely erases in one channel. I'm hoping it's not the transformer. Has anyone experienced repairing these boards?  I'm speculating that its worth a gamble replacing the caps in the hope that this is a likely fail? Any thoughts?
I've a few spare repro and record boards if anyone wants to trade.

cheers

anthony

Hi,

I can repair you any of the B62 cards from oscillator to record and playback amp. note that those cards from the B62 series are 1:1 equal with the A80R versions.

I assume that your oscillator print is a 2-track version (since you are from the us) in europe they used the butterfly stereo head, and they had a different oscillator. your version should held 3 relais on it, part number must be 1.080.987

let me know what you need.

Best from switzerland
