Title: Anyone interested in a sneak peak?
Post by: docb on August 13, 2009, 02:36:19 PM
I have my personal copies of a couple of the Series Two tapes here at Chateau Bottlehead - Staples Singers BeAltitude/Respect Yourself and Thelonius Monk Brilliant Corners.

Perhaps a little preview for the local tapeheads is in order? My schedule is jam-packed for the next couple of weeks, but it should ease up by the end of the month. Last weekend of August, perhaps?

Brilliant Corners is indeed BRILLIANT. Can't wait to hear the tape. Monk's Music would also be welcome. Hope to see you in two weeks or so.

Yes, the more Monk the better.  I'm listening to Thelonious in Action on reissue LP right now.

I won't make the preview party, since I'm 2000 miles away.  But I did get a shipping notice today, which should be for Saxophone Colossus, another of my all time favorites

Yes, 50+ TP-010 albums have gone out over the past couple of days. I think we only have about 10 left to ship and then we are caught up completely with Series One. We have all Series One albums in stock except for TP-003, of which the last album in stock was sold today. We should have more of those available on the next catch up run.

Great news as I still haven't received mine. Any idea Doc if it has gone out?

Doc,

once you set the date i'll try and make it accross the water; it's been a busy time for me lately (like everyone i suppose).

i appreciate you offering the locals an early listen (any chance of having 'Stage Fright' for this demo?...i'd have to find a way for sure...)

Mike
