Title: Stellavox contact
Post by: docb on October 07, 2009, 09:21:31 AM
I received this email this morning:

Hello,

I learned from one of our Belgian customers that the information was circulating that there was no contact for analog Stellavox.
For over 10 years, I'm as a former engineer Stellavox of after-sales recorders Stellavox and sale thereof. (new or second hand).
Here are my coordinates.

Best regards

Even if you don't have a Stellavox, there's a video on this site that kind of the Stellavox story that's well worth watching (at least there was a year or so ago).

Now gone alas.

This link should work. On my Mac, I'm able to view it with RealPlayer (god knows how many media player apps I have) but VLC or WMV should also work.

I know the Nagra QGB big reel adaptor works with a Stellavox but can the Stellavox ABR adaptor be made to work with a Nagra?
Anybody tried it?

No longer interested in an answer since I have bought a Stellavox SP7 with large reel adaptor from Monsieur Gurtner to replace my malfunctioning Nagra.

Hi Brian:

Is your sick Nagra T-Audio by any chance?

Hi Ki, no it's an ex-Australian Army IV-L. I was in communication with David Lane at Richmond Film Services when I got news of his death. Unfortunately there is now no-one there with the knowledge and experience to fettle analogue Nagras.

Re Monsieur Gurtner of Stellavox, I have found him somewhat evasive since he told me I would be getting my SP7 "next week" over a month ago. Kostas Metaxas told me he had to wait 6 months for the return of a modified SU8.
My last communication from Gurtner was an apology and statement that he would be shipping my Stellavox "tomorrow".
That was a month ago.
Still waitin' & whistlin'

It's not the waiting that has peeved me, it's the gratuitous lying.

Pressure from two directions - PayPal and ex-boss Georges Quellet - has brought a quick result, another apology...and a Swiss Post tracking number! The SP7 should be therefore arriving around the same time as my first Project tapes. Happy Christmas me!
