Title: Maxell UD 35-90
Post by: Fabio on April 07, 2010, 06:38:14 PM
Dear Forum Members,

Do you know if tapes Maxell UD 35-90 are subject to the "sticky syndrome"?

Is there any tape matching such Maxell tapes, to date?

Thank you.

Regards,

Fabio

My experience is that Maxell didn't have that problem.  My old Ampex tapes are all defective and my Maxell UD tapes from the same time period are good.

I have some Scotch 203 from the 60's, some Scotch 207, BASF, and Maxell UD and UD-XL from the 70's and 80's.  So far I haven't had any problems.
