Title: SO - who else is getting TP Offerings on 1/2" format?

One of my customers mentioned they were available and he was.  Didn't know that OR wasn't paying attention.

Charles--

I'm sure DocB or Paul will clarify their availability, but I did see a TP release on 1/2-inch tape at CES this past January and, not surprisingly, it sounded fabulous. All I said is, "Make it stop! I can't go there!"

We have a couple of customers who have indeed ordered 1/2", and we have a third customer who is ready to pull the trigger. A couple of things to bear in mind - it costs twice as much, and fitting the 1/2" production into the duping schedule requires reconfiguring the duping rig, so it is taking even more than the usual amount of time to fit the 1/2" production runs into the schedule. So this is not a format for the impatient. All that said, it does sound quite impressive.

Are all titles available? Do the same subscription schemes apply as for 1/4"?

All the titles whose license is still active are available, that is to say everything but TP-005 and TP-006. And yes, the albums are sold individually for $1000, with a subscription scheme identical to the 1/4" albums, but at $600 per album. Once again, I must emphasize that this is a format that requires patience on the part of the client - even moreso than the 1/4" versions. At this point Paul is making these albums himself, and it takes time to work the production of these special albums into his very busy schedule.
