Title: tascam 32-2 reel table inter-changables??
Post by: timmauchi on October 03, 2010, 05:23:17 PM
Hi, all
I bought a 32-2 that arrived with both spindles broken off. So I am actively searching for
reel table replacements. Can anybody help with source (other than eaby and Teac/tascam)? Also,
can anybody confirm that teac X-10/R, X-1000/R use the same reel table? Thanks!!

Tim

Hey Tim,
Quite a few of the Teac/Tascam models had parts in common. Even the Ampex ATR700 which was built by Teac used the same tables as an old 3300 I have. Just from looking at pictures, the later models may have used the same hardware with a different pad but like I said, that's just from looking at the pic's.
You could always check with these guys or maybe Tim will chime in. (he's a tech with tons of experience with this kinda stuff)

BTW You can probably still get new ones from Teac so whatever pricing you find for used ones, find out if the savings are worth it.
