That must the guy that Doc as mentioned before. That burl wood looks pretty nice. When I first looked at it I didn't realize it sits on top of the old panel. I thought that I'd somehow missed that those panels were separate from the rest of the upper. I was thinking, "no way. I could access the tape counter belts from the front !" Nope. BTW, has anybody replaced the belts? Do you have to remove the motor?

What, no faux tortoise?! Yes, that is Jeff Jacob's e-bay ID. Actually that is a pretty clever solution to the issue that Jeff Jacobs had with not being able to find someone who could do a clean job of silkscreening the lettering on the machines he was repainting. Dunno about the white edges, black might look better.

i purchased a beautiful Technics RS-1500 from Jeff Joesph yesterday. when i picked it up he showed me those panels....very nice job. he held them up to the RS-1500.....they fit perfectly and match exactly. really dresses it up.
if the RS-1500 i purchased was not already so nice cosmetically (or i wasn't also buying an ATR-102) i might have sprung for them myself.
