Title: My inexperience is showing...
Post by: Harry Hasbun on December 12, 2007, 01:50:12 PM
What can I say, I did not know that the tapes were sent out needing to be put on the opposite side and rewound prior to play.  The funny thing is I kept trying to "Get" Jackie and while it was good, there was just something not right...  Being Dyslexic must have helped me understand her.  This whole thing is so different than vinyl.  Exciting for me..

It's called "tail out". You put the reel on the take up side and rewind it onto an empty supply reel before playing. The reason for this is when the tape has played out it has been smoothly packed on the reel at slow speed - the best way to spool a tape for storage.
