HI, I know that the software packages varied with exact models but you may be able to find that info in on of the 820 manuals;
ftp://ftp.studer.ch/Public/Products/Recording_Analog/
Unfortunately, the Studer list isn't around anymore but you can always contact Fred to see if he'll point you in the right direction.

There are a few 820 owners here. Please try and be as specific as possible.

i have Studer A-820 Serial #1129 with software version 06/89. i know that Ki's A-820 is Serial #1131 so it likely has a similar software version.

mine is a Mk1 (actually more that it's not a Mk2), if that helps.

when you turn on the A-820, the software version will flash on the window as it goes thru the self-test. my manual is for my specific model; if there is something i can look up for you i'll give it a go.

Hi,

Mike's A820 may be the most unique one in this world.  Although its serial number is older than mine, it has the latest software version for MkI A820 - 06/89.  Mine is the original 38/86 which is the about the same period of 38th week of 1986 when mine was manufactured.  Mike's A820 had been optimized as the perfect reproducer but has many enhanced recording functions in the software.

Here's the complete list of all software update for 1/4" and 1/2" Studer A820 still available from Audiohouse in Swiss:

Hello Studer,

maybe someday i will come to China; but sorry to say not anytime soon. i am likely not quite knowledgable enough to be of much use regarding your A-820, although i'm happy to answer you as best i can. i think that Ki has quite a bit more technical knowledge than myself.

i will e-mail you as you request and assist in any way i can.

best regards,

mikel
