Title: Another Allignment Tape
Post by: astrotoy on March 11, 2009, 09:33:07 PM
Included with TP9 was another allignment tape. It looks like it has the same material as the first one, but this time is on a very small reel, smaller than the first one. Any reason for this one?   Thanks, Larry

Larry,
You got that second alignment tape because we didn't have you marked down for having one...probably because we didn't ship you your first one. We probably gave it to you when you picked up your machine.

The reason it's on a smaller reel is simply that 7" low-torque reels are no longer available. The manufacturer quit making them and destroyed the molds. Then the Library of Congress bought all the existing stock before we found out they were going away. So we are stuck with 5" reels.

Hey LArry,
Yes . My Fault. I do remember handing you one when you came to get your machine. I did not mark it on the shipping log. Oops.
Hope to see you Saturday.
