Just a note from another member saying welcome back, Joe. I hope you are well enough to be able to enjoy the tapes...I can't imagine a month in the hospital, especially these days..

Reel to Reel Tape Machines / Re: 4/2 track

The Tascam 3030 is another example of a machine with half-track record/playback and quarter-track playback capabilities. It is similar in appearance to the Teac X2000 but is high speed and without auto-reverse.

General Discussion / Re: Magazine coverage found

I hope this isn't old news but I just received my February, '08 issue of MIX Magazine (professional audio & music production news). Turning the pages I discovered a quarter-page article on The Tape Project, on page 17 in their Current Professional Audio News and Events section. I don't know if you can get to it on their website but it is www.mixonline.com.

Reel to Reel Tape Machines / Revox A77 HS

« on: November 18, 2007, 07:39:39 AM »

I own a ReVox A-77 HS 2track having 15ips/front panel IEC switching.

Summarizing:

handles 10.5" reels
plays at 15 ips
has 1/4" half track (a.k.a. two track) playback head
has IEC (a.k.a. CCIR) playback equalization

Regards to all,
Eric
