I know that the first tape series two shipping is Staple Singers
« on: September 12, 2009, 07:03:55 PM »
I'm a bit curious.  What order will they be shipped in?  I'm just curious, I love that Jimmy Smith, one of my all time fav's..  and who could not drool over the Charlie Rouse/Clifford Brown?  Are they at the end like Sax was?  I can wait....IF I have to.
Great stuff, all of them, It is very exciting for me.
Thanks guys.

The first tape in series 2 has been announced as "Heart Like a Wheel".
I believe that once the tapes appear on the home page (yeah,.. I always forget to look over there too!) that's the way they're planning to release them.

BTW, Just because I forget to check out the home page most of the time, it doesn't mean that you guys with the majority of your brain cells left have to!

Steve - I had an email from Eileen indicating that the Staple Singers was first. I think I would prefer Heart Like a Wheel, but that doesn't make sense since they have had the other tapes in house so much longer (or so I presume).

Well geeze! Who you gonna believe?
Just kidding (I hope the Queen ain't reading this!).

I stand corrected.

Personally, I'm stoked no matter what the order of release is. I used to download a copy of each release but now I really dig listening to them fresh and let the associated memories rush in.

We have the Staples album duped and the flanges engraved. I am working on the cover this week. I made great headway today and I hope to be printing artwork by Friday, and to begin shipping next week. Depending upon how long it takes to get Heart Like a Wheel done we may go ahead and ship another title after the Staples album, just to keep our pace.
