I think it might have been the TADs at that time, but if not it would have been the X10s (which - I agree - are a great speaker).

If you are talking about that comparison of that DSD A/D-D/A from Europe vs. (I think) the master tape of Modern Cool. 1/2" maybe? And yeah, that would have been through X-10s. I would say that was one of the more influential moments in my decision to go with analog tape. I remember screaming inside my head "throw the switch back!" every time Paul switched the signal through the DSD processor.
