The Smith Tapes

No, not Harry Smith or even Jimmy Smith.
The Smith in question (this time at least) is the long time writer for the Village Voice, Howard Smith.
Over the years, this Smith has interviewed many of the icons of the 60's and 70's and like many journalists of the time, he recorded these interviews on reel to reel.
Here's the NY Times article;
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/11/19/arts/music/howard-smiths-interviews-from-the-60s-to-be-released.html?_r=0
And even though I love tape dearly, here's something it has never been capable of.
Previews of these interviews can be heard on this Soundcloud account;
