Hello Steve,
Thanks my friend for your great input. As this is the first time I've been fortunate enough to own one of these grate recorders. I will go ahead and order manuals based on your input and go from there. I will also make sure I slow down the deck during rewind to permit the tape a safe exit from the takeup reel. Thanks again.
