Hey Good Guy Steve,
I have certainly missed you and all the other great forum members. The fact is I have been desperatly working on getting my turntable situation taking care of. I am in the process of stripping down my Cranfield Rock turntable and only using the massive bearing, platter and maybe the Excalibur tone arm for now. I plan to purchase another tone arm as soon as I can get through all of the pros and cons regarding different tone arms. They run up to extreme prices which is just amazing to me. There is a new/old company (Jelco) that has been making tone arms for other turntable manufacturers for many years. They have started putting out their own tone arms and they are fantastically priced. I am taking a hard look at them now.
Also I am still trying to get a listen to the Eminient Tech LTF-8 speakers. I want to see what the difference is between them and the Magnapan 1.6 speakers which I have heard and love. If they are equal I will go with the Maggies. However I have acquired a Parasound belt drive CD player which I am loving. I now have a rather large selection of jazz and classical CD's which I am listening to until I get the turntable up and running. I don't think CD's can replace the LP and newer 45 LP's. Thanks everyone for your continued support and guidance.
Bob W.
