docb's proposal, another angle

I can appreciate wanting to get a new recording project in ttp can, so to speak, and while a big name artist does have appeal, there are many really good artists that would certainly be more in the budget line.  I listen to the Magnatune podcast, and, in particular, their artist, Chris Juergensen, is a top flight blues player, listen to his album "Big Bad Sun" to hear some really hot, contemporary blues.  His cut "Come Out Baby" is as good as it gets.  Magnatune also has another artist, "The Eternal Jazz Project" that is better than most, ahem, crap I hear in jazz circles today, can you say Diane Krall?
