Teac x2000
« on: November 13, 2010, 06:03:28 AM »
Have now acquired a Teac X2000 that does need a little fettling.
Is there a parts resource for Teac? I have contacted Teac UK but no response yet.
I need the left hand idler wheel, the rubber tire has disintegrated and the fixing cap thread has sheared so need that too! Not to mention the stretchy capstan belt and heads that dont look great!!! I have found a belt kit on Ebay but am struggling with the other bits.

Teac of American should have all of those parts. I don't know if they will ship to UK, though.  Don't use aftermarket capstan belts or pinch rollers....original Teac parts will perform better. Go to HiFiEngine.com to download the service manual....From it you can get the part numbers for the items you need and then give those to Teac.
