RVG BLUE NOTE, PRESTIGE JAZZ/BLUES
« on: December 04, 2007, 04:13:03 PM »
I would love to see Blue Note, Prestige etc.  Artists like Lee Morgan, Hank Mobley, Sonny Clark, Donald Byrd, Tina Brooks, Lou Donaldson and on and on...  Just about any great Hard Bop.
Some of Contemporary Labels stuff like Art Pepper Meets the Rythym Section, AP plus 11...
If possible some of the Bluesville Label's good stuff from 1959-1963 as this was superb stuff.  Lightnin' Hopkins, Roosevelt Sykes, Sonny Terry, Brownie McGhee....
Just a few thoughts.

I totally agree. But I think it would be better if you gave some specific albums that you'd like to get. That way, more of us can add our thumbs up and let the guys know that it would be a popular offering.  Shoot for the moon and post your favorites. I think that " Waltz for Debby" and " Sax. Colossus " is proof positive that dreams come true around here.
