The RS1500 is a 1/2 track record and playback and 1/4 track playback machine. 1/2 track stereo uses the full width of the tape for the two channels. The RS1506 on the other hand, is a 1/4 track record and playback and 1/2 track playback machine. That is the model that you'd need to also record on the flip side of the tape.
